Lincolnshire County Council Culture and Adult Education


Situated in the heart of historic Lincoln, The Collection was named East Midlands Tourism Large Visitor Attraction of the Year, has won a prestigious Architecture Award and was a finalist for the National Museum of the Year 2006.

The archaeology collection contains over 2,000,000 objects spanning 300,000 years, including a wealth of artefacts from the Iron Age, Roman, Saxon, Viking and Medieval periods.

The Usher Gallery


The art collection includes a wide range of fine and decorative art including paintings by De Wint, Turner, Piper and Lowry as well as works by contemporary artists such as Terry Frost and the 2004 Turner Prize winner Grayson Perry.
