World War 2 Loans Box

World War Two Loans Box
World War Two Loans Box

In partnership with the Museums, Libraries and Archives East Midlands (MLA East Midlands) The Queen’s Royal Lancers Regimental Museum has developed a loans box of objects and documents to support the teaching of World War 2 related topics across the National Curriculum.

Sergeant Walton's personal effects, dog-tags and photograph.

The idea behind this loans box is to provide access to the collections and archives of The Queen’s Royal Lancers Regimental Museum and in doing so provide an effective learning tool for those pupils engaged in World War 2 related topics at school. The opportunity to handle original artefacts and copies of original documents held within this resource will allow pupils to gain an insight into the lives of the soldiers on the front line and the lives of their families at home.
