Pickford's House Museum

Pickford's House Museum displays room settings and formal garden of the Georgian period, about 1800 -1810, as they might have been in Joseph Pickford's time.

Rooms include dining room, drawing room and morning room on the ground floor, bedroom and dressing room on the first floor, while on the top floor there is a servant's bedroom complete with straw mattress. The kitchen and laundry have been reconstructed together with a cellar, pantry and housekeeper's cupboard. One of the cellars is equipped as an air-raid shelter of the 1940s. Other displays include toys and toy theatres and a collection of historic costumes and textiles.

Pickford's House Museum is part of Derby City Museums, which also includes Derby Museum and Art Gallery and Derby Silk Mill, museum of science and history.
