Summer study support at Nottingham Castle Museum.
Newstead Abbey once belonging to a religious order, later became the ancestral home of the poet Lord Byron and a grand Victorian stately home. The house is set in 300 acres of historic parkland and formal gardens.
Nottingham Castle Museum houses collections of contemporary, fine and decorative arts, plus fifteen centuries of Nottingham history. The museum is a 17th century ducal mansion built on the site of the original medieval castle with spectacular views of the city.
Green's Windmill was once owned and operated by the mathematical physicist, George Green (1793-1841). Look around a working windmill, buy some award-winning flour, enjoy some hands-on science activities in the Science Centre and admire the views over the Trent valley.
Brewhouse Yard Museum is housed in five 17th century cottages below the Castle rock. The museum depicts the social history of Nottingham over the last 300 years.
Angel Row Gallery is a lively contemporary art gallery with a programme of exhibitions from painting to photography, sculpture and video installation.
Wollaton Hall is set in 500 acres of natural parkland and is one of the finest Elizabethan houses in England. It also houses Nottingham's natural history museum. In the stable block the Yard Gallery exhibits contemporary art and the Industrial Museum tells the story of Nottingham's industries.
Learning and Access Team
The Learning and Access Team works across all of Nottingham City's eight sites. The team develops formal and informal learning opportunities for schools and community groups and runs public and family learning events.
