Naseby was that site of the decisive battle of the English Civil War. Discover what influenced the outcome of this pivotal battle, and what might have happened if circumstances had beendifferent.
The battle of Naseby was fought on the morning of the 14th June 1645. In the open fields of that small Northamptonshire village, parliament's New Model Army destroyed the main field army of King Charles I.
Today there is a battlefield trail that takes you to eight viewpoints that mark the progress and outcome of the battle. Each viewpoint is accessible for wheelchairs and has further information about the site. An audio guide will be available in 2009.
