This photograph shows a young boy standing stiffly for his portrait in a garden. He looks straight at the camera. He wears a suit with short trousers, buttoned jacket, knotted cravat and laced boots. Museum records do not give his real name. His neat clothing suggests he is middle class. At the Museum of Lincolnshire Life we have called him 'Tom'. This image is one of 32 family photographs copied from negatives found in Lincoln attic. The images are believed to be the same family from the Monk's Road area of Lincoln.
