In partnership with the Museums, Libraries and Archives East Midlands (MLA East Midlands), Lutterworth Museum has developed two loans boxes of objects and documents to support the teaching of Local Study related topics across the National Curriculum.
The resource boxes aim to provide access to the collections and archives of Lutterworth Museum and in doing so provide an effective tool for learning within schools and the local community. The original artefacts and copies of original documents included in this resource will allow pupils to gain a valuable insight into the lives of those who lived in Lutterworth in 1901 and 1968 and enable students to compare and contrast the two important periods in the town’s history.
This resource focuses primarily on the town, but Lutterworth Museum also holds a variety of sources of information and resources about the local history of the villages surrounding Lutterworth. It will be possible to adapt a number of the suggested activities within this pack to incorporate the information on your local village provided by Lutterworth Museum.
Two Powerpoint presentations included within the resource boxes have been included in the 'support files' section.
If you would like to borrow the Lutterworth Resource Boxes please contact Geoff Smith at the Lutterworth One Stop Shop. Tel: 01455 555574
