The Mighty Lanc - The new learning package for BBMF

Generic news image

Over 7,000 Lancasters were built and flown during the Second World War but today only 2 are still airworthy – one of these is part of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight stationed at RAF Coningsby.

Using a selection of images and artefacts on display at the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre, this classroom-based, cross-curricular project for Key Stage 2, looks at the story of the Lancaster, it's crew and the role it played during the Second World War.

It supports the teaching of History with links to Citizenship, Literacy and ICT and contains a range of information, lesson ideas and resources in formats suitable for web-based, offline and IWB use.

So why not use this package to support your teaching. View The Mighty Lanc learning package here.
