Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre

Lincolnshire County Council Culture and Adult Education

In 2007, the Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight celebrated its Golden Jubilee. Operations commenced in July of 1957 at RAF Biggin Hill. 50 years later many of those original aircraft remain as part of the memorial flight.

2008 marks the 90th anniversary of the Royal Airforce (RAF).  The flight exists to commemorate the personnel of the RAF and is preserved in flying condition as a living tribute to them all.

The Royal Airforce and Lincolnshire County Council in a unique partnership, offer access to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) Visitor Centre through guided tours of the BBMF hanger. This enables a rare opportunity for visitors to view the historic WWII aircraft at close proximity. Visitors also have the opportunity to explore the exhibition centre through both permanent and temporary exhibition spaces.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is a living memorial to our Heroes and Heritage.
