Local Heroes
Introduction
These learning activities are designed to support students' historical enquiry and interpretation skills, and provide a focus for local history studies.
Primarily created for use by Key Stage 3 & 4 students, the activities are flexible and can easily be adapted for use at Key Stage 2 within the Citizenship and History curricula.
Curriculum Links
By interrogating images, documents and related resources, students will be able to make judgements about the benefits and limitations of particular sources for historical research.
Activity 2 also aims to support language across the curriculum, examining style conventions for non-fiction writing.
